Nomads, agent shocked with Asu’s death
Be Forward Wanderers and football players’ agent Prince Jere have expressed shock with the death of Cameroonian forward Lionel Asu who had a stint with the Nomads at the start of the current season.
According to Jere, who was the player’s agent, Asu died last Sunday in Cameroonian capital Younde after a bout with celebral malaria.
“I learnt about Asu’s death yesterday [Tuesday] afternoon from my partner Flavio who informed me that Asu’s death was a result of celebral malaria.
“Flavio said he had been trying to get hold of me, but couldn’t get through until today [Tuesday]. I am very shocked because the last time we spoke the previous week, he did not complain of anything. In fact, he sounded jovial,” said Jere.
